Dr.
Maggie T. Chao earned her DMD from the Harvard School of Dental
Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. She then furthered her training
at Harvard to sharpen her diagnostic and clinical skills with
a residency in Prosthodontics. During her residency, she was
awarded for her achievements in material science research and
excellence in clinical care. Dr. Chao also earned a Master of
Medical Science in Oral Biology.
Originally from California, Dr. Chao completed her undergraduate
studies at UC Berkeley before moving to the East Coast for dental
school. Having returned to the Bay Area, Dr. Chao pursues her
love for academia as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the
University of California at San Francisco. Dr. Chao is also
recognized for her presentations on her research and innovative
clinical techniques at national dental conferences. Dr. Chao
keeps up to date with the latest technology as an active member
in the American Dental Association, California Dental Association,
San Francisco Dental Association, Contra Costa Dental Society
and American College of Prosthodontics. Dr. Chao is a board-eligible
member of the American College of Prosthodontists.
Since returning to the Bay Area, Dr. Chao enjoys exploring
and reacquainting herself to the area alongside her husband
Wan. As an enthusiastic person dedicated to self-improvement,
Dr. Chao would like to run a marathon and to return to her passion
for painting and art-- hopefully all her artwork won't look
like teeth!
